Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 occupational therapist with a keen interest in neurology to join our friendly, dynamic and committed Community Neurorehabilitation Service, Rayners Hedge Aylesbury.

The role is perfect for an existing band 6 or an experienced band 5, with relevant experience, who wish to further develop skills in the specialty of neuro rehabilitation.

You will be a motivated, confident, autonomous practitioner with high level communication skills, a flexible problem-solving approach, good clinical reasoning skills, and be efficient in your time and people management.

Within this role you have opportunity to work with individuals with a range of neurological conditions, working holistically towards patient led goals to maximise their abilities.

You will work as part of a highly experienced multi disciplinary team renowned for their innovative and holistic approach. A culture of learning and development is central to the team, with ample opportunity for you to further enhance skills your skills in this area of neurorehabilitation.

To provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for adults who have been referred to the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS).

To assess the functional, rehabilitation and vocational needs of patients referred to CNRS. This includes working in a variety of locations within the community.

T o manage a caseload of patients with complex needs in the field of neurological rehabilitation.

To work as an autonomous practitioner (accessing clinical supervision as required), evidencing high levels of problem solving and clinical reasoning.
