Role Overview
We are looking to recruit 7 additional Process Operators into one of our production teams. Candidates are to be reliable and safety-focused. In this Rota shift based, hands-on role you will help manufacture high-quality materials by operating machinery, handling materials and following established processes to meet production, quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating machinery and material handling equipment
- Manufacture products according to both standard operating procedures, safe working procedures and quality standards
- Firing reactions to produce finished product
- Mixing & blending of raw materials
- Building & stripping of firing pots
- Carry out manual handling tasks where appropriate
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Complete and maintain all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Immediately report unsafe acts/conditions to the Team Leader/Shift Manager
- Ensure that the machinery is functioning correctly, efficiently and safely
- Low level maintenance routines and report breakdowns to Maintenance Department
- Maintain workplace to a good housekeeping standard
Who We’re Looking For
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent
- Experience in heavy/medium manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow work instructions and independently work to safe working procedures
- JCB Crane Licence (desirable)
- Fork Lift Truck Licence (desirable)
Working Pattern
This is a full time role working a Rota pattern (Monday – Sunday):
