Job Summary
The Role
As Salon Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the studio. You will lead the team, support customers, promote memberships and help bring the Light Club brand to life both in the studio and online.
This role would suit someone who is hands-on, confident with people, passionate about wellbeing and comfortable creating content for social media.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations
Manage the daily running of the studio, including opening and closing procedures.
Oversee bookings, memberships, customer flow and studio presentation.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and customer care.
Complete daily checks and ensure equipment and treatment rooms are ready for use.
Monitor stock levels, retail products and general studio supplies.
Support health, safety and compliance procedures.
Customer Experience
Welcome customers and create a premium, friendly and confident experience.
Explain treatments, memberships, packages and products clearly.
Support customers with responsible tanning guidance, red light sessions and aftercare advice.
Handle customer queries, feedback and complaints professionally.
Build strong relationships with members and encourage repeat visits.
Team Management
Support with recruiting, training and developing the studio team.
Manage rotas, daily tasks and team performance.
Lead by example and maintain high standards.
Create a positive, professional and motivated team culture.
Sales and Memberships
Promote memberships, packages, opening offers and retail products.
Support the studio in achieving sales and membership targets.
Identify opportunities to improve customer retention and increase revenue.
Provide feedback on what customers are asking for and what is working well.
Social Media and Local Marketing
Create simple, engaging content for Instagram, TikTok and stories.
Capture behind-the-scenes moments, studio updates and customer education content.
Be confident appearing on camera or helping others create content.
Support local collaborations, events and brand awareness activity.
Help keep Light Club visible, current and engaging online.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Confident, friendly and excellent with customers.
Highly organised and reliable.
Passionate about beauty, tanning, wellness, skincare or wellbeing.
Social media confident and comfortable creating content.
Commercially aware and confident promoting memberships and products.
A strong communicator who can lead a small team.
Hands-on, proactive and able to solve problems.
Professional, polished and proud of high standards.
Comfortable using booking systems, payment systems, email and basic reporting tools.
Experience
Previous experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
Salon, spa, gym, clinic, beauty or wellness management.
Tanning salon experience.
Retail, hospitality or membership sales.
Team leadership or shift management.
Social media content creation for a business.
Working in a new business, launch environment or growing brand.
