Full job description

Jongor Hire have been supplying the event and hospitality industry with catering equipment for over 50 years, so it’s fair to say we know what we’re doing!

Our catering tableware - crockery, cutlery, and glassware are thoroughly washed,cleaned, and perfectly polished ensuring they are ready for use before every hire, ready to lay up at an event. That’s where this role come in!

We are looking for Kitchen Porter/Pot Wash to work in our busy warehouse performing the following duties:

Cleaning crockery, cutlery, glass

Desirable requirements, full training will be given:

Previous experience in warehousing or working in a commercial kitchen as a kitchen porter or pot washer

Essential Requirements

Able to work within a team and independently to meet multiple deadlines
Demonstrate a reasonable level of written and verbal communication skills in English, so able to understand instructions and perform tasks
Ability to work accurately and methodically, dealing with counting and numbers
Adaptability
High organisational skills towards tasks
Punctual and flexible approach to tasks and duties

Working Hours

Predominately in May you’ll work Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm.
During June and July all staff are required to work additional hours, usually Monday to Saturday, 7.30am - 6pm
Hours worked over 40 is paid at x 1.25
Weekend working and bank holiday working is paid at x 1.5

We are looking for people to start immediately.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: £12.71 per hour
