Freelance Contract | Immediate Start | Potential for Long-Term Opportunity
Sector Global is an award-winning event technology company delivering innovative networking and event management solutions to clients around the world. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Information Security (ISMS) Consultant to support the ongoing maintenance and continual improvement of our Information Security Management System.
This is an excellent opportunity for an independent consultant looking to build a longer-term relationship with a growing organisation.
The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced freelance consultant to provide practical, hands-on support with our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System for the remainder of 2026.
The successful candidate will work closely with our internal team to ensure our ISMS remains effective, compliant and audit-ready.
Scope of Work
The contract will include:
- Conducting one internal ISO 27001 audit and producing a comprehensive audit report.
- Providing ad hoc ISMS support, anticipated to be approximately one day per month over the next six months.
- Attending and supporting our external ISO 27001 audit at our Clevedon office (one day).
- Advising on continual improvement activities, corrective actions and best practice where required.
There is potential for this engagement to develop into an ongoing consultancy arrangement beyond 2026.
About You
You’ll be an experienced information security professional with:
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems.
- Experience planning and conducting internal ISO 27001 audits.
- A strong understanding of ISO 27001 requirements and audit processes.
- The ability to produce clear, practical audit reports and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently and provide pragmatic, business-focused advice.
Relevant qualifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM, or similar would be advantageous.
Engagement Details
- Freelance / self-employed consultant preferred (rather than a consultancy business).
- Immediate start.
- Approximately one day per month through to the end of 2026, plus:
- One internal audit and report.
- Attendance at our external audit later in the year.
- Primarily remote, with attendance required at our offices in Clevedon for the external audit.
