About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Drylining site supervisor to join our team on a fast paced housing site in Cheltenham. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drylining and ceilings, with a "first-in, last-out" approach to ensure quality and efficiency on-site. Knowledge of carpentry is advantageous but not essential.
We currently have multiple ongoing projects in Bath, Cheltenham and Bristol, for the right person, this role offers continued work with long-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including conducting toolbox talks (TBT).
- Drawing Management: Read, interpret, and verify drawings to maintain alignment with project requirements.
- Client and Team Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with the project manager and clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Labour Organisation: Coordinate and manage on-site labour to ensure smooth operations and adherence to deadlines.
- Supervision: Oversee drylining and carpentry works to maintain high-quality standards and efficient workflows.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Extensive experience in drylining, including ceilings, with a solid understanding of materials, techniques, and best practices.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Proficiency in enforcing safety standards and conducting toolbox talks.
- Drawing Interpretation: Strong ability to read and check technical drawings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
