Driver (independent contractor) Work, Jobs in Westminster, Gtl (with Salaries)

We are seeking motivated and dependable Self Employed Owner Drivers to join our dynamic delivery network. As an independent contractor, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries to customers. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to operate your own vehicle while providing excellent service. Must have a 3.5ton vehicle preferably Luton body and have hire and reward, goods in transit and public liability insurance. You will have 15 to 30 stops per day in and around London. Your driving expertise and commitment to safety will help us maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Safely operate your own vehicle to deliver goods to various locations within designated areas
Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel usage
Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are delivered intact
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any issues encountered during routes
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times

Experience

Proven experience as a driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license for <PERSON> driver or equivalent license suitable for commercial driving
Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
Experience with vehicle maintenance or basic troubleshooting is a plus
