Looking for a dedicated Dog Walker to join my team in a highly rewarding job, where top care and safety is priority. Someone who is passionate about working with dogs and loves the outdoors!
Duties
-Collect dogs from their houses and transport them for walks in public places.
-Be able to walk them in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
-Maintain control of dogs at all times, using appropriate equipment and skills.
-Monitor the behaviour and health of the dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to me & the owner.
-Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with owners and me.
-Use your skills and initiative to ensure the dogs are safe in your care.
Skills
-Experience in animal care and previous work with dogs is essential.
-A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
-Excellent communication skills to provide updates to me and pet owners about their dog's behaviour and needs.
-Be keen to learn about handling & body language.
-Strong reliability, being able to walk in all weather conditions, and have the dedication to provide top care.
Ideal candidates must hold a full driving license and have use of own car. Full training will be given & start up equipment provided. Must have a willingness to learn. Must be able to obtain Canine first aid, a dog walking license and dog walking insurance.
I cover South Bristol from Bedminster-Whitchurch-Temple Cloud. You must be able to travel to these areas.
Flexible hours on a part time basis, with opportunity for full time in the future. Hours are between 9am-3pm. Weekend work available upon request, paid 25% extra. Overnight care within owner’s home also available, charged by yourself and covered with your own insurance.
