Location: This role is based in The Quadrant Milton Keynes. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 75 minutes.
Band & Salary: Band 5 £27,960 - £34,412
What does the average day look like?
In this role, no two days are the same - you'll be using tools such as Power BI, analysing spend data and developing Dashboards to uncover trends and opportunities, working closely with category, sourcing, and supplier management teams to support smarter decision-making and drive value. You'll respond to requests at pace, producing both standard and ad-hoc insights, while also playing a key part in improving procurement systems and tools to enhance user experience and efficiency. Alongside this, you'll help maintain high-quality data by supporting regular data cleansing activities, manage data queries to ensure a smooth experience for stakeholders, and keep procurement content up to date and accessible. It's a varied and collaborative role where your insights directly contribute to improving performance, delivering savings, and shaping a more effective procurement function.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who is comfortable working with large datasets to support procurement decision-making across Network Rail. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, an eye for identifying trends and insights, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations. They should be collaborative, proactive, and keen to drive improvements in cost efficiency, supplier performance, and procurement processes within a large, regulated organisation.
Essential Criteria
- Educated to a Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Engineering degree standard or equivalent business experience
- Procurement experience in an operational environment
- Demonstrable level of mathematical and statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting on spend data sets
- Experience of procurement technology solutions
- Strong technical skillset, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experienced with agile cross-functional collaborative working methods
- Problem-solving experience of complex supplier specific challenges
- Completer finisher mindset with experience of working to tight deadlines while maintaining high quality output

Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with datasets from procurement or payment systems, such as Oracle and Jaggaer would be an advantage
- A keen interest in or experience of AI tools such as copilot.
- Detailed knowledge of the UK Rail Industry, including procurement processes in a reclassified environment
Experience with cross-functional collaborative working methods
