Fire & Security Engineer — Barnstaple | £34,000 to £42,000

The Company
We're working with a growing Fire and Security company based in Barnstaple who are looking to bring on an experienced Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join their team.

The Role
You'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing and handover of Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems across a range of sites.
Working from technical drawings and specifications, you'll carry out programming, fault finding and system testing while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations and British Standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience within Fire and Security
- Strong fault finding ability
- Good knowledge of both traditional and IP based systems
- Understanding of BS 5839, BS EN 50132, BS EN 50133 and BS EN 50131 (highly beneficial)
- Experience with manufacturers such as Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Gent, Morley or Advanced (advantageous)
- Good communication skills and professional attitude when dealing with clients and site teams
- Ability to work independently when required
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Must be able to pass full security vetting
Qualifications
FIA Units, ECS or CSCS cards, IPAF or PASMA certifications would be a bonus but are not essential for the right person.
