£12.82 per hour | Ocassional hours | Wharfedale House

Our Wharfedale House service is home to sixteen adults with physical disabilities. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate: from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.

Your working hours

The role of a Bank support worker can cover days 8.30am to 8.30pm (Or half days 8.30am to 14.30pm) or a nightshift 8pm to 8.30am

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (from 8pm - 8.30pm) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.

What you’ll do

Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication
Encourage independence through a person-centred approach
Accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities
Keep clear, accurate records
Most importantly – help each person live life on their own terms

No previous care experience? No problem – we’ll give you all the training you need.

What helps you shine here

Previous experience as a support worker with learning disabilities
Warm, friendly and empathetic approach
Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends
Good communication and teamwork skills
Personal care experience (helpful, but not essential)
A genuine desire to help others and make a difference
