HR Coordinator
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting to: Group HR Director
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8.30am- 5.00pm. 1 day working from home after successful completion of probationary period.
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused HR Coordinator to join our HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a varied role and is looking to further develop their career across recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
Working closely with the Group HR Director and managers across the business, you will play a key role in supporting the entire employee lifecycle. From attracting and onboarding talented individuals to maintaining accurate HR records and providing first-line support on employee relations matters, you'll help ensure our people receive an excellent HR service.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities across the Group.
- Create and advertise vacancies through appropriate recruitment channels.
- Screen applications and manage candidate communications.
- Arrange interviews and assessment activities.
- Liaise with hiring managers to ensure an efficient and positive recruitment process.
- Support onboarding and induction activities for new starters.
- Maintain recruitment data and provide regular reports on vacancies and hiring activity.
Employee Relations
- Provide administrative and coordination support for employee relations matters and advise managers with general employment issues.
- Assist with disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance management processes.
- Prepare correspondence, meeting invitations and supporting documentation.
- Attend meetings and take accurate notes where required.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and compliant employee records.
HR Administration
- Managing the new starter process: produce offer letters & contracts of employment, obtain references & right to work checks, enter employees on the HR system, arrange inductions, deliver company inductions, ensure all correct documentation are on files.
- Manage Leaver process: correspondence, update the HR system, exit interviews.
- Administer employee changes, e.g. salary changes, variation to contracts, internal transfers, etc.
- Production of info for PQQs/ tenders as required by Commercial dept.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and GDPR compliance.
- Respond to routine HR queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.
- Support HR projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an HR, Recruitment or People Administration role.
- Has a good understanding of HR processes and employment legislation.
- Previous experience supporting employee relations cases.
- Demonstrates excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Can manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Takes a proactive approach and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification.
- Experience coordinating recruitment campaigns and managing candidates.
