Overview
Maldon Accident Repair Centre is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Customer Service Advisor to join our ever growing team. The chosen applicant will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to clients requiring vehicle repair services. Acting as the main point of contact, you will ensure a smooth and efficient customer journey from initial enquiry through to vehicle collection.
This will be on a full time, permanent basis. Hours are 8am- 5pm Monday - Friday (plus 1 in every 3 Saturdays will be required to work 8:30am- 12pm). This is a full time, office based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and manage all incoming enquiries (phone, email, and in-person)
- Book vehicles in for repair and coordinate appointments
- Provide accurate updates on repair progress and timelines
- Liaise with technicians, estimators, and insurance companies
- Explain repair processes, costs, and expected completion dates to customers
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and job progress
- Process invoices, payments, and relevant documentation
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction at all stages of the repair process
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a customer service role (automotive or bodyshop experience essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Basic understanding of vehicle repair processes (desirable)
- Proficiency in computer systems and booking software
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
