Full job description

We have an opportunity available for an Activities/Engagement Co-ordinator at The Partnership in Care, Hazell Court, in Sudbury, Suffolk.

Make a difference and bring an extra sparkle to our residents and join our dedicated and creative thinking team in our home.

Our Activities/Engagement Team are fundamental to the resident's sense of well-being and social enhancement. You will be responsible to plan, organise and run a varied and stimulating monthly programme of activities.

No formal qualification is required; we see life experience and personal values as just as important.

What do we offer?

A chance to work in our one of our homes from home and support our residents to live as they choose. This is an creative and active role to enable our residents to enjoy their lives.

We offer full in-house training given by our experienced team and opportunity to progress within the organisation.

What the role is?

Create and develop individual social support plans for the residents recording their needs and wishes
Plan and organise programmes of engagement to suit the needs and wishes of the residents ensuring choice and diversity and providing physical and mental stimulation for residents within the group
Record appropriate information and observations in the resident’s support plan
Observe and inform the care staff if any alteration of the residents emotional, psychological or social needs is noticed
Plan events and activities to raise funds to contribute to the engagement teams’ budget and maintain community contacts to support relationships with the home.

Shifts are 6 hours each and follow a 8am - 2pm, 2pm - 8pm pattern, Monday to Sunday. You will be required to work alternate weekends. We are currently offering a 24-hour contract.
