Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced and motivated Window Fitters to join our installation teams working across social housing and private residential properties.
Role Overview
As a Window Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of uPVC, aluminium, and composite windows and doors within occupied and void residential properties. You will ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service.
The role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work professionally within customers' homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and assess window and door openings to ensure accurate installation.
- Remove existing windows and doors safely and efficiently.
- Install new uPVC, aluminium, timber, and composite windows and doors in accordance with manufacturer specifications and building regulations.
- Carry out making-good works including sealing, trimming, finishing, and minor remedial works where required.
- Ensure all installations achieve weather-tight, secure, and energy-efficient finishes.
- Identify and report defects, structural issues, damp ingress, or installation concerns.
- Complete installations in accordance with PAS 2030 requirements where applicable.
- Take photographic evidence and complete digital job records accurately.
- Maintain high levels of customer care when working within occupied social housing and private residential properties.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe throughout the installation process.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, retrofit teams, surveyors, and other trades.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience fitting windows and doors within residential properties.
- Strong knowledge of uPVC, composite, aluminium, and timber window systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialist fitting equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to overcome installation challenges.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on social housing contracts.
- Experience delivering retrofit and energy efficiency projects.
- FENSA, CERTASS, MTC or equivalent industry accreditation.
- Experience with curtain walling, glazing repairs, or door installations.

Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per year
