Head Chef – Exciting Opportunity in an Independent Country Pub

We’re looking for an ambitious, passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a thriving independent country pub with a strong reputation for quality food, weddings, and events.

This is a genuine opportunity for a chef who wants more than just another kitchen job. You’ll have the freedom to shape the food offering and run the kitchen your way — with the support of a family-run business that values creativity, balance, and long-term growth.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of the kitchen operation, overseeing the delivery of high-quality food across our pub, weddings, and private events. We are looking for someone with the passion and drive to develop menus, lead a team, maintain excellent standards, and help grow the business.

This role offers a rare level of autonomy. We want a chef who enjoys taking responsibility, making decisions, and creating a kitchen culture they can be proud of. You'll have genuine input into menu design, supplier relationships, and the overall direction of the food offering.

Whether you're an experienced Head Chef looking for greater freedom or a strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

What We Offer

45–50 hour working week
Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience
