Housekeeper/Room Attendant
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team
You will be working as part of our wonderful housekeeping department, in a beautiful newly renovated 30 bedroom hotel with stunning sea views. The Hotel Victoria is situated in Robin Hood’s Bay, a picture postcard village with easy access to Whitby, Scarborough and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it is an area of outstanding beauty with everything you would expect from living on the coast and making the most of the great outdoors
The hotel offers excellent dining facilities with a newly refurbished sea view restaurant, stunning cocktail bar & lounge, outdoor terrace & garden, as well as a large friendly traditional Yorkshire Pub. We also host weddings and various events throughout the year
The role
As a key member of Hotel Victoria, we pride ourselves in offering warm, professional and personal customer service. You will be instrumental in ensuring our guests have the best possible experience within a beautifully located 30 Bedroom Hotel, delivering and maintaining excellence in terms of cleaning, standards and the overall presentation of our boutique bedrooms. The hours of work are from 9am-3pm (But sometimes fluctuate depending on the demand of any given day)
Day to day
You will be part of the Housekeeping team ensuring all of our bedrooms and housekeeping communal areas are presented & maintained to the highest of standard. This will include bedmaking, bathroom cleaning, restocking of hospitality trays and general housekeeping duties. As the hotel operates to a consistently strong occupancy level, there is constant demand to the department, therefore you will always be working as part of a team, although the role is technically classed as lone-working, you will always receive support from your peers where required
Preferred Requirements.
- Some experience of working in a housekeeping or cleaning role
- Ability to work in a timely manner
- Physically able to meet the demands of the position
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lone-work, whilst able to communicate with colleagues when required
- Self motivated and able to work on own initiative without ongoing direct supervision
- Be an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable team player.
You will be part of a very friendly and dynamic small team who pride themselves on delivering the finest of standards and quality associated with housekeeping
