We are looking for a reliable and proactive Site Operative to join the team at one of Cardiff Bay's largest and most prestigious residential developments, comprising 457 apartments across seven residential buildings overlooking Roath Basin.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and wants to play an important role in supporting a vibrant residential community.
About the Role
As Site Operative, you'll be a key part of the on-site team, helping to ensure the development remains safe, well-presented and running smoothly for residents, visitors and contractors.
No two days are the same. From supporting major improvement works and carrying out site inspections to assisting residents and helping maintain communal areas, you'll be at the heart of the day-to-day operation of a busy residential estate.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the development.
- Conducting regular site inspections and reporting any issues or concerns.
- Assisting with the management of contractors and providing site access where required.
- Helping maintain safe, clean and accessible communal and external areas.
- Monitoring health and safety standards across the development.
- Supporting the ongoing improvement and remediation works taking place on site.
- Assisting residents and visitors with general site-related enquiries.
- Ensuring refuse and recycling areas are maintained and ready for scheduled collections.
- Reporting maintenance, safety and housekeeping issues to the site management team.
- Providing practical support with a variety of site tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in people with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, maintenance, site support or property role would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
You'll ideally have:
- A proactive and hands-on approach.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining standards.
- A good awareness of health and safety.
- Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to help wherever needed.
