Full job description

Ty Hafod Limited is looking for a full time or part-time carers for a small friendly Nursing home in Cardiff.

We are committed to ensuring that we have a positive working environment for all employees.

We currently have a vacancy for a care assistant position to come and work with our great team. This is a full time role which we anticipate to be 36 hours per week, day or nights shifts.

If you are an experienced carer who can work flexible hours to meet our resident’s needs, we’d love to hear from you.

Main aims of the job

To meet the personal needs of the residents.
To observe and promote the resident's choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and other rights.
To create and maintain good professional relationships with residents, their families, and friends.
To assist in the general duties and activities of the home.
To work alongside, and support your colleagues

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have good judgment, problem-solving, and decision making skills
The ability to work flexible hours to meet the business needs
Effective timekeeping and time management
Have a genuine interest in older people
The ability to work effectively within a team environment
Be willing to participate in National Vocational Training Programmes
Passionate about delivering outstanding care to older people
NVQ Level 2, or working towards it.
