Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Playground Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining outdoor play equipment in various locations. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of children through the proper installation of playground structures. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and installation instructions accurately.
- Assemble and install playground equipment on-site, ensuring all components are fitted securely and correctly.
- Conduct site assessments prior to installation to identify potential hazards or obstacles.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively during installations.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on installed equipment to ensure ongoing safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to coordinate installation schedules and address any site-specific requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment during all phases of installation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or playground installation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to travel is essential.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance.
