Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bread Baker to join our bakery team, hours advertised initially as 8hrs minimum. These hours will grow as our businesses continue to do.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of bread products in a fast-paced bakery environment.

This role offers an opportunity to utilise your baking skills and contribute to delivering high-quality baked goods to our cafes.

The ideal applicant will have a passion for baking, strong attention to detail, and experience in bread production.

Responsibilities

Prepare doughs and mixes according to recipes and quality standards
Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently to produce bread products
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with ingredient inventory management and stock rotation
Ensure all baked goods meet presentation standards before packaging or display
Follow all health and safety guidelines during food preparation and baking processes
Collaborate with team members across our three businesses to meet ordering and production deadlines and quality expectations

Experience

Proven experience in food production, particularly in baking roles
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a bakery environment
Previous kitchen / bakery experience is essential
Familiarity with cooking techniques related to bread making and food preparation
Experience working in a busy kitchen setting with attention to detail and organisation skills, working to targets.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about baking and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
