Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the production of high-quality products. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and mechanical principles, with an emphasis on safety and craftsmanship. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Operate welding machinery safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or sub-assemblies.
Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve technical issues promptly.

Experience

Proven experience in TIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Familiarity with sheet metal work and assembly processes is desirable.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Prior experience working with various metals and understanding of different welding techniques is advantageous.
