Job title: Registered Manager
Salary: With Nursing: £62,500 starting, going up to £65,000 on successful completion of 6-month probation.
Without Nursing: £60,000 starting, going up to £62,500 on successful completion of 6-month probation.
Bonuses: CQC rated GOOD in all areas or above - £2500.
Meeting / exceeding the yearly financial target - £2500.
Hours:Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, and as and when required during weekends and inspections from authorities etc, as well as being a part of the on-call schedule.

We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Registered Manager to join our team here at Kirklands Care based at our wonderful Highfield House Care Home, Whitehaven
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the service, ensuring it operates in full compliance with CQC regulations, delivers exceptional person-centred care, and upholds our core values: We Care, We Protect, We Encourage, We Accommodate, and We Understand.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership across care, nursing, housekeeping, catering, and administration teams.
- Develop and implement strategic plans in line with company vision and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all CQC standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the Registered Provider and external professionals.
- Recruit, induct, and develop staff, ensuring high performance through supervision and appraisal.
- Lead multidisciplinary team working to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Manage budgets effectively and maintain operations within financial parameters.
- To carry out, and provide leadership in marketing the service, and selling its services at the agreed prices
- Promote and safeguard the welfare and wellbeing of all individuals supported by the service.
- Market and promote the service within the local community, maintaining occupancy and reputation.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
About You
You are a confident, values-driven leader who is passionate about delivering the best possible care and achieving outstanding outcomes for residents.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Service Manager, or Deputy Manager in a care home or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of CQC compliance and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Budget management experience and a sound understanding of service operations.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Proficient written and verbal English skills.
Qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- RMA, NVQ Level 4, or other relevant management qualifications (desirable).
