The Seacote Hotel are looking for a kitchen assistant or experienced cook to join our family run hotel. Seasonal or permanent available for the right candidate. Chef de partie or enthusiastic commis level both considered.
Applicants must have the ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen.
- Ongoing training will be provided
Duties will include:
- Food preparation
- Cooking some food from our menus
- Working under the senior chefs and alone to ensure food is prepared and provided as per expected standards.
- To ensure correct food and hygiene standards are followed
- To ensure the Kitchen, surrounding work surfaces and floor are kept tidy and clean at all times.
- Working during functions and events.
Person Specification
- Average 30 hours per week available with a view to overtime in the summer/covering holidays and sickness. However, we can be flexible for the right candidate and will consider alternative hours, including part time working.
- Must be prepared to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
- Be able to work as part of a team or as a lone worker
- Must have a minimum of Level 1 food safety and allergy awareness qualification or be willing to work towards this.
