We have a great opportunity within Equans Embedded Energy for an Infrastructure Projects Coordinator to join our maintenance team at Fellside CHP plant and support the wider team in running the plant.

Role purpose
It is the responsibility of the Infrastructure & Projects Coordinator to provide the effective and safe coordination of all infrastructure engineering and maintenance activities relating to Fellside CHP plant and its associated offsite assets.
Key Activities:
- Successful coordination of numerous distinct engineering projects assigned by the Infrastructure & Project Engineer
- Identification and engagement of appropriate sub-contractors to enable completion of related activities.
- Supervision and management of sub-contractors employed to complete mechanical and civil related activities associated with the ongoing Infrastructure Works at Fellside CHP Plant.
- Supervision and management of sub-contractors employed to complete routine maintenance and project engineering tasks under the direction of the Infrastructure & Project Engineer.
- Undertaking of minor hands-on tasks as and when required and where qualified.
- Assistance in the delivery of key projects, including (but not limited to); Inspection and Replacement of CUI affected pipework / components, WHRB and Auxiliary Boiler stack inspections, Storage tank inspections, Scheduled Plant and Civil (PCI) Inspection Programme, Cooling Tower Civil and Structural Inspections and Repairs.
- Raising, updating and completing work orders by use of the CMMS and effective scheduling of work in line with site planning procedures including attendance at the weekly E&M planning meeting and daily E&M priorities meeting
- Liaison with the site O&M team in the delivery of all infrastructure maintenance and projects.
- Coordination of plant and civil inspection rounds carried out by a third-party specialist contractor.
- Review of PCI reports, prioritising and actioning repair of identified defects.
- Collating key O&M documentation in relation to personally assigned projects.
- Commercial engagement with sub-contractors including cost control management.
- Monthly behavioural safety engagement discussions with other working parties, both px and sub-contractors
- Willing to achieve the following competencies within an agreed time frame:
- Safety document acceptor (permit to work)
- IOSH Working, supervising or managing safely
- Crane lifting operations (Appointed Persons role)
- HSG47 Avoiding danger from underground services (Appointed Person role)
- Legionella in domestic and evaporative cooling water systems awareness
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- NVQ L3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Relevant contributions in a 24/7 industrial environment including rotating equipment, steam raising systems, piping and valves.
- Experience maintaining and managing effective relationships with external Support Contracts.
- Plant Health and Safety systems & procedures awareness and application
- Appreciation of Permit to Work systems and documents.
- Appreciation of purchasing cycle, including use of computerised purchasing and planning systems.
- Ability to interpret and commission third-party technical reports in asset care.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office to produce associated documents.
- Experience of CMMS Systems and Management of Change controls.
- Experience supervising consultants / contractors to successfully complete projects & meet contractual objectives / obligations.
