Full job description

An excellent rare oppurtunity to wo rk with the cardiac rehabilitation nurse team providing administrative support, answering help line telephone, organising appointments, organise and maintain database for National Audit for Cardiac Rehabilitation (NACR) audit.

To provide secretarial; and administrative support to the cardiac rehabilitation team. Including organising cardiac rehabilitation appointments.

Establish, maintain and input of data for cardiac rehabilitation audits including the National Audit for Cardiac Rehabilitation (NACR). This will involve conducting the audit, issuing questionnaires, assessing responses and then co-ordinating data for submission to NACR

Frequently responding to calls from distressed patients and relatives in a sensitive manner

Obtaining of investigation results from Cardiology dept.

Check all correspondence for urgent matters and respond accordingly Liaising with primary and tertiary care, including other cardiac rehabilitation teams and the heart failure team

Retrieve notes from medical records. Ensure correct tracking of the notes in and out of the department using the hospital PAS system

Register and raise notes on the system when required.

Effectively manage filing systems, information retrieval and stock control where appropriate, ordering stationery, patient leaflets etc as required.

Manage working time, prioritising workload effectively.

Contribute to policy development as required.

Attend and participate in departmental planning meetings.
