Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver/Yard Person to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organisation and maintenance of the yard and delivering orders to customers.
The Driver/Yard Person will play a vital part in supporting our delivery and transportation activities.
Duties
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles
- Organise and maintain yard areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met
- Operate vehicles for local deliveries, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Assist with general maintenance tasks around the yard
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during yard operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in delivery driving preferred
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically fit to handle manual tasks such as lifting and manoeuvring goods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: £31,250.00 per year
