The Glasgow Marriott is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Leisure Club Associate to join their team. The Leisure Club Associate takes personal responsibility for delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and customer service throughout the leisure club facilities.
Responsible for creating a welcoming environment for members, hotel guests, and visitors, ensuring all leisure facilities are presented to brand standards and operated safely and efficiently. The role involves supporting the day-to-day operation of the fitness centre, swimming pool, and associated facilities, while providing knowledgeable assistance and outstanding service to all users.
Working closely with colleagues across the hotel, the Leisure Club Associate helps deliver a seamless leisure experience, supports membership retention and growth opportunities, and contributes to creating memorable experiences that encourage guest loyalty and repeat visits.
Key Responsibilities
As a Leisure Club Associate, you will play an important role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and exceptional experience for our members and guests. Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and guest welfare are maintained across all leisure club facilities, including the fitness centre, swimming pool, changing areas, and wellness spaces.

Monitoring activity within the leisure club and responding appropriately to emergencies in accordance with company policies and local operating procedures.

Recognising situations where guests may be unable to safely use facilities or equipment and taking appropriate action, including escalating concerns to management when required.

Providing immediate assistance to guests in the event of illness or injury and supporting emergency response procedures until professional medical assistance arrives.

Promoting and enforcing leisure club rules and regulations to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for all members and guests.

Supporting guests with the safe and correct use of leisure and fitness equipment, maintaining all required training and certifications relevant to the role.

Maintaining leisure club equipment, facilities, and supplies to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational readiness.

Managing the distribution of towels and leisure supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained throughout the day.

Processing membership, retail, activity, and facility-related transactions accurately using hotel and point-of-sale systems, whilst adhering to cash handling procedures.

Delivering exceptional customer service through professional, friendly, and knowledgeable interactions with guests, members, and visitors at all times.

Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries efficiently, ensuring requests are resolved promptly and routed to the appropriate department when necessary.

Building positive working relationships across all hotel departments and supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals and deliver a seamless guest experience.

Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity.

Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to all company grooming, uniform, and brand standards.

Following all company policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements, including those relating to children, data protection, health and safety, and guest privacy.

Protecting company assets, equipment, and resources and reporting any maintenance, safety, or operational concerns promptly.

Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required to support the successful operation of the Leisure Club and wider hotel team.
