Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner/Miller to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning and milling machines to produce specified parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and SolidWorks models to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using basic measurement tools and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Assist with plastics injection moulding processes when necessary, supporting overall production efficiency.Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, with experience in both turning and milling processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with tooling, fixtures, and machine calibration.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes for interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Understanding of tooling selection and setup procedures for various materials including plastics.
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality output in a fast-paced environment. Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
