Passenger Services Assistant – Full-Time (4 Month Contract)

Location: Portsmouth International Port

Salary: £28,378 per annum

Start Date: 9 June 2026 (4-day induction training)

Join our Port Operations team in Portsmouth!

We’re looking for enthusiastic candidates to help us deliver excellent service and a great customer experience for our passengers.

This highly customer-focused role suits positive, flexible, and resilient individuals who enjoy variety. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

The schedule

Full-Time Passenger Services Assistants work an average of 37.5 hours per week in shifts, to cover either early morning or late-night opening hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Key Responsibilities

welcoming and checking-in passengers
handling bookings, answering queries, and dealing with complaints, both in person and over the phone
supporting smooth port operations, including boarding
working closely with colleagues to deliver a safe, timely, and exceptional service

What we're looking for

Professional, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Calm, practical problem-solver who can work under pressure
Strong team player with a positive, proactive approach
Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer service role beneficial
French or Spanish language skills are a bonus (but not essential)
