Revival Food & Mood is an award-winning community café, wellbeing hub and social enterprise in the heart of Whitstable, created by the mental health charity Mind in Bexley and East Kent. Through great food, meaningful conversations and innovative community initiatives, we bring people together, reduce loneliness and promote positive mental wellbeing. Every day is different, and every interaction has the potential to make a genuine difference.

We're looking for an exceptional person to lead and grow Revival's community wellbeing programme.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. One morning you might be planning a new wellbeing initiative, meeting with a local school or writing a funding application. That afternoon you could be welcoming someone into the café who needs support, facilitating a peer support group, working with volunteers, collecting outcome data or promoting an upcoming event on social media.

At Revival, we don't believe in working in silos. We're a small, ambitious social enterprise where everyone contributes to our success. Whilst this role has responsibility for leading our wellbeing programme, there will occasionally be times when you'll help the café team during busy periods, support events, move tables for a workshop or simply muck in wherever you're needed. If you're someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and understands that every role contributes to our community impact, you'll fit right in.

You will become the first point of contact for Revival's wellbeing projects and community engagement, taking the lead in developing, coordinating and delivering a wide range of initiatives that improve mental wellbeing, reduce loneliness and strengthen community connections.

The role includes responsibility for:

Leading and developing Revival's wellbeing programme, peer support groups and community initiatives.
Coordinating and delivering our Youth Café and leading the continued development of our Youth Mental Health Ambassador Programme, working with schools, young people and partner organisations.
Building positive relationships with local schools, voluntary organisations, community groups and statutory partners.
Organising community events, outreach activities and networking opportunities, including leading the Revival Whitstable Wellbeing Network.
Supporting people who approach Revival for help by providing a warm welcome, active listening, compassionate conversations and appropriate signposting. Full training will be provided.
Managing referrals, enquiries, volunteer onboarding and service administration, ensuring systems, policies and records remain accurate and up to date.
Recruiting, supporting and working alongside volunteers who are central to the delivery of our projects.
Monitoring outcomes using tools such as SWEMWBS, maintaining project records and producing reports for funders and stakeholders.
Supporting funding applications, project development and identifying opportunities to grow Revival's impact.
Creating engaging promotional materials using Canva and supporting the promotion of projects and events through social media and printed communications.
Using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets and Forms) alongside paper-based systems to coordinate projects and maintain high-quality records.
Contributing to the ongoing development of policies, procedures and new ways of working as Revival continues to grow.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and is equally comfortable planning strategically, organising the detail and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.

You'll be joining a passionate team that believes good conversations, welcoming spaces and strong communities can make a genuine difference to people's lives.

Hours

25 hours per week, worked flexibly across the week.

The role will primarily include Monday mornings, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (including Youth Café until approximately 9pm), with occasional evening and weekend working to support community events, outreach activities and networking meetings. There may also be occasional Friday meetings.

There is potential for the role to increase in hours in the future, subject to funding.

Interviews with be held at the end of August 2026.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
