Based at Head Office in Sittingbourne

Swale Academies Trust has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our Central Services team based at Ashdown House in Sittingbourne. We are looking for a professional, highly organised, and adaptable individual to provide vital support to the Company Secretary, Trust Executives, and our wider Central Services.

This is a versatile and essential role that offers a unique insight into the governance and operational heart of the Trust. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Company Secretary & Governance Support: Assisting with policy tracking, website compliance, and maintaining critical registers for Director business interests as well as data protection impact assessment records.

· Information Management: Managing the initial intake and progress tracking of Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARS).

· Meeting & Panel Coordination: Organising hearings and panel meetings, including preparing sensitive paper evidence packs.

· Central Services Hub: Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, managing the Trust’s main and recruitment email inboxes, and organising meeting room logistics.

· Recruitment Liaison: Supporting the HR Recruitment Officer with vacancy adverts, job descriptions, and pre-employment matters.

The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality when handling sensitive information. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly, ensuring high standards of diplomacy and accuracy at all times. Proficiency in Google Suite and excellent record-keeping skills are highly desirable for this role.
