Full job description

Peterborough’s premier 4 star, City Centre hotel with extensive Food and Beverage operations including an AA rosette restaurant, coffee shop and event facilities for up to 320 persons.

We now seek to recruit a strong Commis Chef to join our brigade and develop our food offerings.

The Role:

Reporting to the sous chef and head chef, you will help run and maintain a section of the kitchen.
Preparing food for our restaurant, bar, room service and functions.
Working in a high standard kitchen, using fresh ingredients.

The ideal candidate:

Someone who is currently studying their NVQ in cooking, or has finished their qualification.
Hard working and enthusiastic, wanting to work their way up the ranks.
Sound knowledge of food hygiene.
Hold a basic food hygiene certificate.

Skills Required:

Basic knowledge and cooking abilities from a kitchen environment.

At least 1 years’ experience within a kitchen

Ability to work well under pressure.

Willing to learn and improve.
