As Rapidrop continues to grow, we are seeking a Group Facilities Manager to lead facilities operations across our global sites and support the ongoing development of our operational infrastructure.
The Role
The Group Facilities Manager will play a key role in ensuring Rapidrop's facilities, workplace services and operational environments are maintained to the highest standards across all locations.
You will be responsible for overseeing facilities operations across our Peterborough headquarters, Leeds warehouse, UAE operations and third-party global locations, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient working environments that support the wider business.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will lead facilities management, maintenance, health and safety, workplace services and operational improvement initiatives across the organisation.
This role will involve occasional international travel to support facilities operations, site projects and business requirements across the UK, UAE and other global locations.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations
- Oversee facilities operations across Rapidrop's global sites
- Manage maintenance programmes, workplace services and site standards
- Ensure facilities infrastructure is maintained effectively across all locations
- Support lease management and facilities-related contractual requirements
- Oversee fleet operations, including company cars and vans
Supplier & Contractor Management
- Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers and service providers
- Ensure service delivery standards, response times and contractual obligations are achieved
- Support facilities budgeting, expenditure control and operational planning
- Coordinate maintenance schedules, inspections and facilities projects
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Support the development and maintenance of health and safety standards across all sites
- Ensure facilities operations comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Monitor risk assessments, compliance requirements and site safety standards
- Support accident reporting, incident management and corrective actions
- Promote a proactive culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility
Workplace Services & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee workplace services including housekeeping, hygiene, waste management, security and vending facilities
- Support infrastructure requirements including utilities, racking, workplace equipment and printers
- Identify opportunities to improve facilities performance and operational efficiency
- Lead or support facilities-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to sustainability and environmental improvement programmes
About You
We are looking for a commercially aware and operationally focused facilities professional who enjoys managing multiple sites, building strong stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement.
Your experience will include:
- Proven experience within facilities management, operations or multi-site facilities environments
- Experience managing facilities across multiple locations
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance, compliance and workplace services
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors and external service providers
- Experience supporting health and safety compliance within operational environments
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Commercial awareness and strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, industrial or distribution environments
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
