Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Door Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic doors across various commercial and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, utilising a diverse range of technical skills. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in construction-related trades or technical repair work. A proactive attitude and attention to detail are essential to ensure safety and quality standards are met consistently.

Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair automatic doors, including sliding, folding, and revolving types.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential faults or safety issues.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently.
Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
Troubleshoot electrical systems associated with automatic doors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with clients and team members to plan installation schedules and provide technical support.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, or masonry is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and fabrication techniques related to automatic door mechanisms.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment is essential.
Experience working with construction painting or plastering is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.
Relevant certifications or training in electrical or mechanical systems will be advantageous.
