- Be part of something real
At SDL, you won’t be lost in a big corporate machine - you’ll join a friendly, supportive, family-run business where people look out for each other.
We’ve built our reputation over 47 years by treating customers well and taking care of our teams. When you join us, you become part of that family ethos from day one.
This is a critical role, enabling the success of the branch network by
providing expert assistance in sourcing hard-to-find parts, supporting sales capability development through training initiatives, and acting as a reliable point of contact for inbound customer enquiries. This role is central to delivering a responsive, solution-focused service that helps both colleagues and customers achieve the best outcomes. The role may be adaptive and progressions with business and project needs.
If you enjoy helping people, solving problems, and being part of a busy, focused team - you’ll feel right at home here.
Every new starter begins with our SDL Sales Academy, where you’ll learn everything you need to do the job with confidence. You’ll spend time at our Academy of Excellence in Clay Cross, meet the teams who support the branches, and get hands-on product and systems training.
We promote people based on attitude and performance, not how long they’ve been here. For example:
- Jordan joined with no experience and is now a Branch Supervisor
- Hannah moved from retail and is now a Senior Sales Advisor
Your progression is genuinely in your hands.
Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll receive:
- Bonus schemes
- Staff discount across SDL shops
- Health Cash Plan (claim back on dental, optical, physio etc)
- Discounts on retail, gyms, travel, entertainment and more
- 3% employer pension contribution
- Company-branded uniform
- 24/7 employee advice line & GP phone access
- Death in Service cover
- Extra holidays for long service
And above all - a stable role in a friendly, growing business that values what you do.
Hours
- 42.5 hours per week
- Monday–Friday between 7am–6pm
- Every other Saturday (5 hours)

- Communicates well and enjoys talking to customers
- Can pick up systems quickly
- Has experience in finding niche or specific parts
- Stays calm under pressure
- Brings a positive, reliable, “team-first” attitude
Experience with MAM or similar software is essential.
