Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant/Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in financial administration and accounting processes. The successful candidate will support our finance department by managing various administrative and accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Duties
Purchase ledger
· Code & obtain authorisations for all invoices received
· Processing of all material invoices
· Daily reconciliation of supplier statements
· Payment runs, monthly & middle of month
· Process & pay monthly expenses
· Reconciliation of company credit card
· Set up of new supplier accounts
· Administration of subcontractor insurance database
· Answering of supplier emails/phone calls ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manor
· Completion of new account application forms
· Day to day filing of invoices/statements
Sales ledger
· Setting up of new clients
· Raising sales invoices as required
· Weekly chasing of any outstanding monies
· Liaise with surveyors regarding any overdue monies
Ad Hoc Tasks
· Administration of the company training matrix, booking training courses
· Set up of new job numbers on EVO
· Yearly archiving
· Any other adhoc finance/admin tasks
Experience
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Xero or EVOM is highly desirable
- Familiarity with data entry tasks within financial services environments
- Previous experience in accounts payable or receivable roles is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills essential with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
