Full job description

Nodens Manor Care Home is located in Lydney, Nodens Manor is a purpose-built home that has all the equipment and furnishings you'd expect and more in a state of the art, but homely care home.

Elmfield Care is a small but vibrant group looking after our Aged and Dementia community, and one of the Top 20 Small Care Home Groups in the UK as ranked by carehome.co.uk.

Roles and responsibilities:

You will be working under the direction of the Deputy Manager and your role will include;

· Supporting the Day and Night Care Team in their roles in keeping our residents cared for, safe and happy

· Medication

· Liaison with GP’s, District Nurses, Response Team and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

· Be available should a resident just want a chat and a cup of tea

· Compiling care notes and care plan updates for your residents

To be successful in this role you will:

- Always present a compassionate and professional image.

- You are kind, warm, and compassionate person with a “can- do” attitude.

- Have knowledge around safeguarding, whistleblowing, and medication management.

- Able to support, guide and lead by good example and have an eye for details.

- Have excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise, focus and have a sense of responsibility, remaining calm under pressure.

- Are able to work with health professionals and all other stakeholders.

- Handle enquiries from residents, visitors, and relatives and act appropriately in emergency situations.

Salary: £15.62 per hour

Hours: 42 hours per week, based on a 8am - 8pm 3 shifts on and 3 shifts off over a 6-week rota.

· an NVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent qualification or have an NVQ 2 and be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification.
