An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our growing team at our newly refurbished Head Quarters in Ashton, Bristol. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented part time Sales Ledger Clerk to play a key role within our finance function, supporting the delivery of an efficient, accurate, and reliable accounts service across the business.
This is a varied role that will involve working closely with colleagues and customers, helping to maintain a healthy sales ledger, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the finance department. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team environment, with opportunities to develop their skills and make a real impact within the wider business.
Key responsibilities
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers
- Chasing due and overdue payments to maintain cash flow
- Processing customer payments and updating the accounting system
- Ensuring invoices are raised and issued accurately and on time
- Producing customer statements (monthly and ad hoc)
- Maintaining customer records and setting up new customer accounts, including credit checks
- Managing the Sales Ledger inbox and responding to queries
- Handling customer disputes, product returns and price queries, and raising credit notes
- Supporting other areas of finance when required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Finance or Sales Ledger role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part time position (20 to 30 hours a week)
