Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Chef / Commis Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment, contributing to a welcoming dining experience for our guests. The ideal applicant will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine enthusiasm for food preparation.

Duties

Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presented attractively
Support other kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Assist in stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
Serve breakfast dishes efficiently to guests, maintaining excellent customer service standards

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
Experience working in a restaurant environment is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various kitchen duties as needed
