Sales & Operations Administrator (12-month maternity cover)

We are looking for a Sales & Operations Administrator to cover a period of maternity leave at our busy Wigan office. Reporting to the Sales Desk Team Leader, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and agile learner who prides themselves on their accuracy and diligence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Receiving and processing customer sales orders.
- Entering all sales orders and purchase orders on the system, dealing with amendments and deletions, updating and maintain customer files.
- Planning and controlling house accounts in line with business requirements.
- Planning and liaising with transport companies regarding estimated delivery of orders.
- Communicating with plant teams to plan tanker loads.
- Liaising with the stock team to anticipate future order requirements and ensure correct stock levels.
- Liaising with Finance on account limits etc.
- Working to customer service objectives: on time and in full order inputting and confirmation.
- Ensuring all transport documents are issued to corresponding warehouse.
- Ensuring all delivery paperwork is turned around within required timescale.
- Supporting and liaising with Sales Managers.
- Answering the phone and dealing with daily issues including customer deliveries etc.
- Supporting the team with cover for holiday and sickness absence.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience of data entry and administration processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment an advantage.
- Ability to learn new IT systems quickly.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Conscientious approach with high level of accuracy.
- Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills
- Logical thinker with ability to solve complex problems.
- Understanding of stock management and logistics desirable.

Pay: From £26,500.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wigan
