The Operations Manager Must have SIA license and driving license, will be responsible for the day to day management of security operations, business development activities, office administration, compliance requirements, and medical reporting operations. The role will ensure the efficient delivery of services, client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing security operations across multiple client sites, including manned guarding, key holding, alarm response, mobile patrols, CCTV monitoring, and control room operations.
- Ensuring all sites are adequately staffed, operationally compliant, and meeting client service requirements.
- Conducting site visits, audits, investigations, welfare checks, and performance reviews.
- Building relationships with clients, facilities managers, procurement teams, and key decision makers.
- Identifying new business opportunities, arranging meetings, preparing quotations, supporting tender submissions, and securing new contracts.
- Managing office administration, staff records, timesheets, payroll information, reports, and operational documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with SIA ACS requirements, BS7858 vetting standards, ISO management systems, health and safety legislation, and company policies.
- Maintaining staff licensing, training records, right to work checks, and compliance documentation.
- Supporting audit preparation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Overseeing medical reporting operations, ensuring medical reports are processed efficiently and service standards are maintained.
- Liaising with medical experts, solicitors, and clients to ensure appointments, reports, and documentation are managed within agreed timescales.
- Producing management reports and supporting the Managing Director in achieving operational and financial objectives.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership, organisational, communication, and problem solving skills, together with experience in security operations, compliance management, client relationship management, and business development.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain professional standards and represent the organisation positively at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across both business divisions.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and UK legislation.
- Prepare operational reports, KPI updates, and management summaries.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
- Be available for occasional out of hours operational support when required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager or supervisory role.
- Experience within the security industry, SIA License is Essential with this role.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital management systems.
- Full UK driving licence is must
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make operational decisions confidently.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of SIA ACS standards and security industry compliance.
- Understanding of MedCo processes and medico legal operations.
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations.
- Experience in client relationship management and business development.
