The role

Optical Assistant
So, you’re a proactive people person ready to be the friendly face our stores need? Sounds like you’d be a great fit here. So, if you’ve had previous optical experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant, this Optical Assistant role could be perfect for you, however if you're simply keen to get into optics and have experience working in fast paced retail environments, then we'd love to hear from you!
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll use your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services alongside your incredible customer service skills, to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team.

Our store
Based in Wigan, our store is looking for someone with previous optical experience that can dispense all levels, or somebody that can offer exceptional customer service and has experience working in fast-paced retail environments.

Salary - £26,500 - £30,500 - Depending on experience
2 x free staff glasses
monthly team bonus
Full time 40 hours a week - Will include 1 weekend day
Part time could be availble for the right canddiate - Must be able to work a weekend day

Clinical and managerial progression available

What we’re looking for?

Previous optical experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers’ lives easier
Great teamwork
A good initiative
Confidence in using IT systems
Excellent communication and listening skills
Prepared to step out of your comfort zone and try something new
Able to receive feedback and be open to development, knowing we’ll be there to support and guide you throughout your process (with your openness and our guidance, your opportunities will be endless).
