Position: Nursery Housekeeper
Employer: MiChild Group
Hours: Monday and Fridays (3pm-6pm) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (4pm-7pm)
Salary: From £12.75/ph

About MiChild at Sunbeams Nursery

Sunbeams Nursery is a warm and welcoming nursery in Atherton. We are proud to be rated “Good” by Ofsted and care for up to 68 children as part of the MiChild family.

Our nursery has been newly refurbished within the last year. We have three bright play spaces for children aged 0–2, 2–3 and 3–4 years. We also have a sensory exploration room where children can explore, relax and learn in a calm environment.

We have two lovely outdoor garden areas at the back of the nursery. One garden opens directly from the baby room. Our outdoor spaces are used daily for activities such as outdoor yoga, games and imaginative play.

At Sunbeams, we value teamwork and reflective practice. We support each other to learn, grow and develop our skills. As part of MiChild, staff wellbeing and appreciation are important to us, and we enjoy recognising and celebrating our team.

We are conveniently located on Bolton Old Road, just a five-minute walk from the local high street with shops and places to eat. Atherton train station is a ten-minute walk away, and there are several local bus routes nearby, making it easy to travel to work by public transport.

About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery clean and tidy, reporting any potential maintenance issues to the Maintenance team:

To clean all areas of the day nursery including toilets, kitchen, play rooms and staff areas.
To clean all surfaces of the day nursery including floors, paintwork, tiles and walls.
Report any maintenance issues that prevent safe and efficient cleaning of these areas.
Manage all cleaning supplies and equipment
To remove all bottles and recyclable materials to the relevant position or bin and ensuring anything recyclable is recycled.
Ensure all high and low level dusting is completed.
To be committed to the safeguarding of all children, being proactive in noticing any ar

This role is 16 hours per week- Hours: Monday and Fridays (3pm-6pm) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (4pm-7pm)
