Full job description

The Role:

Working within our busy Facilities department at our Next Head Office, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our employees and visitors.

The working hours for this role are 20 hours per week. Working Monday-Friday, 1pm-5pm.

What You'll Take On:

Ensure all areas are clean and kept to a high standard.
Demonstrate safe use of cleaning materials and chemicals abiding to COSHH
Be responsible for vacuuming, emptying bins, cleaning surfaces, windows and washrooms as well any other cleaning duties as required.
Cleaning and sanitising designated areas, including offices, meeting rooms, common areas, and toilets, according to established standards and schedules.
Replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other amenities.
Monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting any shortages or malfunctions.
Assisting with setup and cleanup for events, meetings, and conferences.
Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols.
Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Collaborating with other members of the facilities team to ensure efficient operations and a positive working environment.

What You'll Bring:

Demonstrate an ability to work within health and safety guidelines
Have a real passion and high standards for house-keeping
Have a positive attitude and a flexible approach
Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
