Full job description

Who are we?

Core Aquatics is a multi award winning swim school, teaching children to swim in the East Midlands. We teach all ages and abilities and also support swimmers with other abilities through our Autism Swim Approved status and work with Autism Swim

We specialise in small group tuition, one to one and two to one lessons for children 3 years old up to, and including, adults. We also offer lessons to swimmers with other abilities, with many of our team engaging in supplementary training provided by the STA and Autism Swim.

The Role:

Core Aquatics are looking for lifeguards to supervise and assist with our swimming lessons. We currently have regular shifts available at Nottingham High School and West Bridgford School, with opportunities to pick up work across our venues.

Candidates should have a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and attend regular training - if you do not currently have a NPLQ please do still apply and we can discuss how you can become qualified.

We accept all ages from 16+ (but if you are 14+ and want to become a helper then please do get in touch)

Lifeguards will be expected to supervise all swimmers in the pool, assist teachers with the setting up and packing away of the sessions and attend to any rescue/first aid as required.

Reliability and a good attitude are vital for this role.

CV, references, NPLQ Certificate, safeguarding certificate and DBS are mandatory.

Hours Available in Nottingham - our operating times are:

Nottingham High School

Saturday - 1330-1800
Sunday - 1400-1800

West Bridgford School

Wednesday 1800-1900
Saturday - 0800-1000; 1645-1845
Sunday - 15.30-19.30

Safeguarding:

Safeguarding of both our team and swimmers is incredibly important to us, we have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in place and team members are expected to be vigilant at all times. If you have any questions about safeguarding then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
