Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting Fire Doors and Passive Fire inspections on residential properties mainly in the London area, but sometimes other regions in the UK and then producing professional reports and supporting project management tasks from the office in Bedford.

We are a growing bespoke consultancy offering comprehensive health, safety, fire, and project management services to residential clients, with a focus on supporting higher-risk residential buildings. We specialize in ensuring the safety and compliance of purpose-built blocks of flats, providing a high standard of support and expertise to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite Fire doors inspections at residential blocks.
- Assessing compartmentation integrity (fire stopping, intumescent products, cavity barriers).
- Producing detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence and remediation schedules.
- Identifying and categorizing defects by urgency and risk level.
- Support project management services, including site inspections, audits, tender processes, contract management, and on-site project oversight.
- Travel to various sites across London and occasionally other regions of England.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure all work is delivered to the highest standard.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualification essential such as FIRAS, FDIS, Level 3 in Passive Fire.
- Experience in surveying fire doors and compartmentation in high risk residential buildings.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to write professional reports.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet required deadlines (Essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Confident decision-maker, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience working in Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) as defined under the Building Safety Act 2022 (desirable).
- Experience with digital inspection platforms (e.g. Onetrace or similar) (desirable).
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility in working hours is essential, as site visits and client needs may vary.
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Bedford and have access to a main train line into London.
- Full UK driving license (desirable)

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
