Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced food production environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting the production process, maintaining food safety and hygiene protocols, and contributing to the creation of high-quality handmade confectionery products.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and organisation of ingredients and materials for confectionery production
Operate and monitor specialised machinery used in the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth operation
Follow food safety procedures meticulously to maintain product integrity and compliance with regulations
Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet brand standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area to uphold hygiene standards
Support with packing, labelling, and storage of finished goods

Skills

Knowledge and understanding of hygiene principles and food safety is essential
Experience of bakery / confectionery production or familiarity with food production processes is desirable
Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for operating machinery will be advantageous
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety standards are met
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report any issues promptly
