An exciting opportunity has become available to work at Handforth library. This part time position is for 10.75 hours (0.29 FTE) per week.
Working patten: Thursday 10 - 1.30pm Friday 10 - 1.30pm Saturday 9.15 - 1pm
About you

If you are committed to providing excellent customer service and can contribute cheerfully and positively to an efficient, quality library service, then Handforth Library could be the place for you. We currently have a vacancy for a Library Assistant to work 10.75 hours per week.
We need you to have the energy and enthusiasm to deliver the services we provide and be able to work as part of a small team of dedicated staff carrying out a wide range of library duties, responding to the needs of the Council's Customer Service Point located in the library and be involved in assisting and running events for both adults and children.

The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in customer focused environment.
- The ability to converse at ease with our internal and external customers.
- Awareness of library service policies and procedures.
- The ability to assist and run events for both adults and children.
- Experience in ICT to ECDL level.
- A high degree of interpersonal skills.
- The ability to administer cash transactions and perform charges.
- A flexible approach to work.
