Screening Sciences Cell Biologist
Curve Therapeutics is an innovative, growing venture-backed biotech based in Southampton, UK, focused on discovering and developing novel therapeutics to treat cancer and immune based diseases. We are seeking an outstanding and driven scientist with deep experience in a range of cell biology techniques to join our expanding multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop novel (scaled) screening platforms and workflows in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.
· Develop, engineer and run a wide range of reporter-based and cell-based screening assays, including the generation of engineered stable cell lines containing functional reporters to support discovery target projects.
- Analyse and interpret experimental data, providing detailed scientific reports and presentations at internal project meetings.
- Contribute to ongoing development of the company’s innovative technologies, bringing creative solutions and scientific rigour to our discovery efforts.
Utilise and apply a broad suite of cell biology techniques, including many of the following:
- Flow cytometry, cell sorting and imaging
- Western blotting and protein quantification
- qPCR and RNA quantification
- Lenti-virus library design, preparation and transduction
· Cell line engineering, including development of engineered stable cell lines with functional reporters
Qualifications and Experience:
- A PhD or Masters/Bachelors qualified in a Life Science subject such as Cell biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry (Masters/Bachelors qualified applicants must have proven industry-based lab experience)
- Experience in cell-based assay development and qualification, reporter assays, and cell-based screening is highly desirable.
· Demonstrated experience in engineering stable cell lines, including design, generation, validation and application of functional reporter cell lines.
· Practical expertise in flow cytometry, cell sorting, Western blotting, qPCR, and lenti-viral transduction.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate scientific ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
